  • Bus Drivers
    • Class B CDL
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bus Monitors and Classroom Floats
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Maintain First Aide/CPR Certifications
  • Lead Teachers
    • AA/BA or advanced degree with a program of study, which includes six or more courses in Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development.
    • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework.
    • One year experience with pre-school children in a high-quality early childhood development program.
    • Valid Driver’s License and access to a privately owned vehicle with liability insurance for use in completing work responsibilities as required.
  • Co-Teachers
    • Child Development Associate (CDA), preferably an Associates in Early Childhood Education.
    • CDA credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree or, are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire.
    • Valid Driver’s License and access to a privately owned vehicle with liability insurance for use in completing work responsibilities as required.
  • Family Advocates
    • Four year college degree in social work or related.
    • Two years’ experience working with families in field of social.
    • Family Advocates hired after November 7, 2016, have within eighteen months of hire, at a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field.
    • Ability to work effectively with CCC Head Start parents, other staff, and community agency.
    • Ability to train and consult with parents and staff in groups.
    • Familiarity with LaPorte County community social services.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; must have vehicle to use in work. Must have proof of current liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in order to drive personal car for work.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONAL UPON RESULTS OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Successful Drug Screening.
  • Criminal History Background Clearance.
  • Successful Physical Capacities Examination and TB screen results.
